From The Catholic Miscellany…

Sister Mary Thecla Paolini celebrates 60 years as a Pauline

Sister Tecla

CHARLESTON—Sister Mary Thecla Paolini celebrated her 60th jubilee as a Daughter of St. Paul on Sept. 17 at Sacred Heart Church.

The Mass intention was in her honor. Pauline Sister Margaret Kerry told The Miscellany that the readings of the day were on forgiveness and it made her think “of all the joy Sister Mary Thecla exudes because she has forgiven many times over 60 years, letting go and allowing God to work God’s wonders in her.”

From all of us here at the Office of Vocations: Congratulations, Sr. Thecla!

At the diocesan Vocations Office, we are happy to help women in discerning their call, and to assist them in finding the vocation director of the Religious Community where they feel called.  Please contact Valerie Gore, Coordinator of Vocations, and she will be happy to meet with you and assist you in any way possible.

In a woman’s search for her vocation, there are many resources for her discernment. Two prominent resources are the websites for the National Religious Vocation Conference and the Council of Major Superiors of Women Religious (CMSWR). These websites can be extremely helpful to a woman in her discernment.

A woman in discernment might also check out the website of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. There are great resources on their website which can be viewed here.
